I have to say, after dropping off the clothes, I wanted to give the place a 5 star review, just based upon the sheer knowledge of Sofio (the owner) and the customer service of Michael (his son). Sofio has a keen eye for detail in clothing and loves to share his insight with his customer. Going into the shop becomes more of an experience, rather than a chore (I hate walking into hot, stuffy, and disorganized tailoring shops) and I actually walked out with a lot of knowledge in regards to what colors, cuts, brands, ties, etc... look good on me.
So yes, I wanted to write a 5 star review just based on my experience at the store, but I wouldn't really do that without looking at the work his shop did. I got my pants and suit jacket back and they were extremely well done. Some tailors use a number of shortcuts when it comes to the more difficult alterations (e.g., taking in the seat of a pair of pants), but its clear that Sofio and his crew take the time to deconstruct and reconstruct the items that you bring in. I was very happy with the work and I actually brought in a number of dress shirts to be altered as well. The total for the suit jacket and the three pairs of pants came out to a reasonable $90. Not bad at all.
